Bike Week in Downtown Sandusky

Posted on May 30, 2017

Erie County is proud to congratulate the Ohio Bike Week organizers on their seventeenth anniversary. Events will be held from May 26th through June 4th.

The closing event held in downtown Sandusky occurs Thursday June 1st through Sunday June 4th. Erie County citizens should be aware that our Office Building will be open all that week for the public to conduct business. That address is 247 Columbus Avenue. Unlike previous years, the Parking Garage will be closed Thursday and Friday. It will also be closed Saturday through Sunday morning. While some of the officials located there have chosen to curtail their office hours on Friday because of safety concerns and limited parking, the building will be open.

The Auditor’s, Tax Maps, Treasurer’s, and Erie County Economic Development Corporation offices will be closed to the public at noon on Friday.  The Clerk of Courts Title office will be closed at 2pm on Friday. The Prosecutor’s and Recorder’s offices will remain open. Again, the Parking Garage will close at 6am on Thursday and re-open at noon on Sunday.

County residents also need to be aware that Columbus Avenue, between Adams and Washington Streets, will be closed Thursday, June 1 and Friday, June 2. Therefore, residents travelling to downtown Sandusky from the south are urged to uses routes further east or west of Columbus Avenue those two days. Washington Street will remain open those days.

The Erie County Commissioners appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
