Free Ohio Safe Routes Academy Workshop

Great news Erie County! The Ohio Safe Route’s Academy will host its second ever workshop in Erie County. The Ohio Safe Routes Academy is a new program launched by the Ohio Department of Transportation Local Technical Assistant Program and the Safe Routes to School National Partnership. The Erie County Regional Planning Commission Metropolitan Planning Organization Erie County was the first jurisdiction awarded a workshop in the state!

The workshop will be led by Safe Routes to School National Partnership representation Kate Moening and will feature two combined courses, Safety in Active Transportation Planning and Incorporating Safe Routes to School in Policy and Planning into a one day session. The course will focus on active transportation including how to create an Active Transportation Plan. In addition the Safe Routes to School Program and how and where to implement policies will be covered.
