OPERATION STREET SMART COMES TO ERIE COUNTY

Operation Street Smart is a drug education program for both high school students and adults, presented by personnel from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, Columbus, Ohio. The presenters frankly discuss the realities of drug use and abuse in our society today. The Erie County Sheriff's Office is pleased to partner with local school districts to have the program presented in our community. Operation Street Smart will be presented at Edison High School on Tuesday, April 15, and again at Margaretta High School on Tuesday, April 22. At both schools, student programs will occur during the day with a program specifically geared toward parents and educators, and open to the general public, being presented at night. The public program at Edison High School is scheduled from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Tuesday evening, April 15, in the high school auditorium. The public program at Margaretta High School is scheduled from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday evening, April 22, in the high school library. The information listed below outlines the details of the presentations. The public is invited and encouraged to attend the evening sessions. Through communication and education that programs such as Operation Street Smart provide, needless tragedies in our community related to drug usage and overdoses may hopefully be prevented.

Operation Street Smart was presented to the students at the EHOVE Career Center on April 8, and was well received there by both students and faculty.
