MOVING FORWARD

On behalf of the Erie County Clerk of Court's Office, I would like to personally thank you for being patient and supporting this office as we move forward with e-filing.

For the last three years, we have been e-filing our civil cases only.  Now, however, on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 (our go-live date) e-filing will be expected in the following cases:
  • Criminal cases  (excluding civil protection orders)
  • Domestic cases (excluding domestic violence orders and dating protection orders)
  • Court of Appeals cases for the Sixth District

On Monday, June 10, 2019, e-filing shall be MANDATORY in all above stated cases in the Common Pleas Courts of Erie County.

Since I became the Clerk, it has always been my desire to keep moving forward to enhance the efficiency of our office and our court   system.  We strive for excellence as we progress in that direction.  Not only do the deputy clerks serve this community with distinction but they also display great leadership ability.  I could not be more humbled by all their hard work.   Thus, I publicly thank them.  I also thank you for your support because my dreams do not come to fruition without you.  Thanks!

After e-filing, on to obtaining new jury software and a juror kiosk that will permit our jurors to be paid immediately for their service each day.
