Facilities Department

The Erie County Facilities Department employees are skilled in the building trades and services necessary to maintain 26 primary public facilities. Our vehicle maintenance section maintains 150 county-owned vehicles. The department improves, updates and renovates approximately 500,000 square feet of usable space and offers maintenance services in such areas as heating, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, computer cabling, painting, carpentry, general maintenance and housekeeping. In addition to many maintenance requests, additional responsibilities include long-term capital improvement planning, project management and system technology upgrades.

  • Courthouse elevator motor controls upgrade
  • Service Center HVAC replacement/upgrade
  • Jail fire alarm monitoring system replacement
  • Various parking lot & driveway improvements/replacements
