In May 2019, the Erie County Commissioners entered into a contract with AEP Energy to provide our local residents an opportunity to save money on their electric bills. Letters have been mailed to those currently in the County’s Electric Aggregation Program and those directly with the utility advising that, beginning with September electric bills, eligible residents who are a part of the program will see a change in their supplier. The Commissioners were able to lock in a fixed rate of 4.565 cents per kWh for the next twenty-four months. Residents who wish to opt-out of this program, can call AEP Energy at 1-877-726-0214. Any other questions regarding the electric government aggregation program, please contact Palmer Energy at 419-539-9180, extension 300.
