Parent Advocacy
The Erie County FCFC was awarded a grant by the NAMI Ohio to support Parent Advocacy. The Parent Advocacy Connection Program helps families navigate through child serving systems and helps caregivers advocate for their children. The Parent Advocates are individuals with lived experience as the primary caregiver or parent of a child or children for whom they have navigated multiple child serving systems. The Parent Advocate can identify with the parent's struggles and encourages parents on their own journey.
