Electric Aggregation Program

ATTENTION RESIDENTS:  If you recently received a letter from Ohio Edison informing you that Dynegy, the supplier of the current aggregation, is ending, that is correct.  You should have received an opt out letter late October from Energy Harbor regarding the new aggregation.  If you did nothing, you will be enrolled in the next aggregation. However, if you opted out, you will go back to Ohio Edison.   If you did not receive the opt out letter, please call Energy Harbor at 866-636-3749 to get enrolled or click on the following link:

Please note: Erie County Aggregation communities consist of all of the townships in Erie County as well as the Village of Castalia.  The Village of Berlin Heights will have aggregation in Spring 2024.

The City of Huron and City of Sandusky have their own aggregations, so contact the city for more information.

Original post:
The Erie County Commissioners selected Energy Harbor as the new supplier of the community electric aggregation program.  Dynegy was the previous supplier for this program.  Letters were mailed out on
October 16, 2023 to those currently in the County’s Electric Aggregation Program, and those directly with the utility, advising that eligible residents who are a part of the program will see a change in their supplier.  You will continue to receive one monthly bill from your local utility, Ohio Edison.  Starting January 2024, you will notice that Energy Harbor will show as a line item for the supply portion on your bill. The Commissioners were able to lock in a fixed rate of 6.54 cents per kWh through December 2025.  Residents who wish to opt-out of this program need to call Energy Harbor at 1-866-636-3749 to opt out over the phone.  If you have any specific questions about the program, please call Valerie at Palmer Energy at 419-491-1040.
