Juvenile Court

Overview

Erie County Juvenile Court is located at the Erie County Courthouse, 323 Columbus Avenue, Fourth Floor, Sandusky, Ohio.  The presiding Juvenile Court Judge is Robert C. DeLamatre.  
 
The Juvenile Court has jurisdiction over many juvenile case types:  delinquency; unruly and traffic charges; abuse, neglect and dependency cases; adult contributing; parental rights and responsibilities; paternity and support.    
 
The Court has three locations:
 
Courthouse - 323 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, Ohio 44870 Directions
The Courthouse is the location for all judicial hearings (except juvenile detention hearings), Juvenile Clerk's Office, Intake Department and Administrative Offices.  The Juvenile Court is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.  The Court is closed for holidays.  
 
Erie County Juvenile Justice Center - 1338 Tiffin Avenue, Sandusky, Ohio 44870 Directions
The Juvenile Justice Center is a combination of the Erie County Juvenile Detention Facility and the Northern Ohio Juvenile Community Corrections Facility.  Home Detention and Community Service/Restitution Offices are located here.  The Juvenile Justice Center is a twenty four hour facility.  
 
Juvenile Probation/Mediation/Diversion Offices - 221 West Parish Street, Sandusky, Ohio 44870 Directions
Juvenile Probation Counselors, Juvenile Mediators and Juvenile Diversion Counselors offices are located here.  This location is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and closed for holidays. 
 
 

Cell Phone Policy

Please be advised that cell phones are not permitted in the Courthouse.  Anyone entering the Courthouse is subject to Screening Procedures by the Erie County Sheriff's Department.
