Emergency Management Staff
The Agency employs three full time staff members: Director, 9-1-1 Telecommunications Coordinator, and the Administrative Assistant.
Tim Jonovich has served as the Erie County EMA Director since 2011. Tim has a Bachelors Degree in Emergency Management and an Associates Degree in Fire Protection from the University of Akron. Prior to becoming the Director for Erie County, Tim worked as a Director of Emergency Management/9-1-1 Communications and as a Firefighter/EMT.
Gary Wobser has served as the Erie County 9-1-1 Telecommunications Coordinator since 2016, and has over 29 years of telecommunications experience. Gary is responsible for all telephone issues such as repairing telephones, programming features on telephones, and assisting all county offices with communications requirements. He is also responsible for maintenance and the functionality of Erie County's Enhanced 9-1-1 system. This includes updating the Master Street Address Guide, and resolving all discrepancies that may occur with customer information.
Kim Johnson has served as the Emergency Management Agency Administrative Assistant since 2017, as well as the Information Coordinator for the Local Emergency Planning Committee. Kim is responsible for all correspondence and financial requirements for the Agency.
