Personal Background
Magistrate McGory was born and raised in Huron, Ohio and graduated from Huron High School in 1977.
Magistrate McGory earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy, West Point, New York, in 1982. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant and spent ten years on active duty at various locations around the world. He graduated from the University of Akron School of Law in December of 1995 and was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1996.
Professional Background
After admittance to the Ohio Bar, Magistrate McGory was in private practice for five years. He then served as an Assistant Prosecutor in Ottawa County. Magistrate McGory was appointed to his current position in 2005 by Judge Robert C. DeLamatre.
