Magistrate Trevor M. Hayberger

Personal Background

Magistrate Hayberger was born and raised in Sandusky, Ohio.  He is a proud graduate of Sandusky High School, Class of 1994.  

Magistrate Hayberger first attended Firelands College and then received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Bowling Green State University.  Magistrate Hayberger then graduated from the University of Toledo College of Law and was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 2002.  

Professional Background

In 2003, Magistrate Hayberger was hired as an Assistant Prosecutor for Erie County, Ohio where he worked until 2011.Magistrate Hayberger then went into private practice where he was a contract attorney for the Erie County Public Defender's Office, Acting Judge for Sandusky Municipal Court, and practiced in other areas of the law. Magistrate Hayberger then went on to become the Law Director for the City of Napoleon, Ohio where he served for many years.  Thereafter, Magistrate Hayberger was able to come home to serve as the Assistant Law Director and then the Law Director of the City of Sandusky, Ohio.  In 2020, Magistrate Hayberger was appointed to his current position by Judge Robert C. DeLamatre.
