Recording Costs

The cost of recording documents is by page, and is the same in all counties of Ohio. This does not include the recording of plats.

-The cost is $34 total for the first TWO printed pages (If it is a front and back of one page that equals 2 printed pages.)

Ex. 2 page document= $34 recording fee

-And then it is $8 for every additional page after the first two printed pages

Ex. 3 page document=$42 recording fee

- Some documents may have additional marginal reference costs which are $4 per document reference.

Some Document Examples are (but not limited to):

Assignments, Releases, Revocations, Modifications, Transfer on Death Confirmations, Survivorship Affidavit Confirmations, Amendments, Refiles, ETC.

Ohio Revised Code Standard Requirements

Per: OHIO REVISED CODE SECTION 317.114

Documents dated July 1, 2009 or after must follow the following guidelines, or if not followed an additional $20 non conformance fee will be charged per document:

1. Legible print size not smaller than a 10 size font

2. Minimum paper size 8.5" x 11"

3. Maximum paper size 8.5" x 14"

4. Black or Blue ink ONLY

5. No highlighting

6. Margins of 1 inch width on each side of every page

7. Margins of 1 inch width across the bottom of every page

8. A 3 1/2 inch margin of blank space at the top of the First page

9. A 1 1/2 inch margin of blank space across the top of every remaining page
