Truancy Erie County Mediation Program (TEMP)

The TEMP program is an incentive based grant program, designed to assist youth in grades K-12 who are habitually truant from any school district in Erie County.

Youth who are admitted into the program must receive a low risk score on the Ohio Youth Assessment System (OYAS) Diversion or Disposition Tool.

All programming takes place in school and will include the youth, teacher, principal,
parent, attendance officer and mediator.

The TEMP program assists in addressing issues (barriers) that are preventing youth
from attending school on a regular basis.
